NexGenSpec ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

• Account Information: Email address and password used to create your account. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and optional email.
• Inspection Data: Client names, property addresses, inspection notes, photos, annotations, signatures, LiDAR scans, and videos you create within the app. This data is stored locally on your device.
• Location Data: When you grant permission, we use your device location to auto-fill property addresses. Location is used only at the moment of the request and is not stored or tracked.
• Device Information: Device model, OS version, and crash logs are collected via Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose and fix issues.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status is managed by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment details.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core inspection workflow (reports, photos, annotations, signatures)
• To generate PDF reports and invoices
• To diagnose crashes and improve app stability
• To verify your subscription entitlement

Data Storage and Security

Inspection data is stored locally on your device with iOS file protection enabled. We do not upload your inspection data, photos, or reports to our servers. Crash logs are sent to Firebase Crashlytics (Google) for diagnostics only.

Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

• You can deny or revoke location, camera, microphone, and photo library permissions at any time in iOS Settings
• You can request a copy of any data we hold about you

Children's Privacy

NexGenSpec is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

By using NexGenSpec ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Use of the App

NexGenSpec is a field inspection tool designed for professional home inspectors. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all inspection data you enter. NexGenSpec is a tool to assist your workflow — it does not replace professional judgment, licensing requirements, or applicable inspection standards.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the app. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

NexGenSpec offers an optional Pro subscription:

• Free — 3 inspections with full access to all features, no credit card required
• Pro Monthly: $28.99/month — Unlimited inspections, PDF reports with your logo, voice commands, LiDAR scanning, annotation pack, invoicing & client delivery
• Pro Annual: $289.99/year — Same as Pro Monthly, billed annually (~17% savings)

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your device's App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4. Free and Pro Features

Free users can create up to 3 inspections with full access to all features. Pro subscribers unlock unlimited inspections, PDF reports with your company logo, voice commands, LiDAR scanning, the annotation pack, and invoicing as described in the app.

5. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, code, branding, and content are owned by NexGenSpec. You retain ownership of all inspection data, photos, and reports you create.

6. Your Data

Inspection data is stored locally on your device. We do not upload your inspection content to our servers. You are responsible for backing up your device. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. NexGenSpec is not liable for any inspection outcomes, property assessments, or professional decisions made using the app.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NexGenSpec shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using the app at any time and cancel your subscription through App Store settings.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which NexGenSpec operates.

Common Questions

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. You can change or cancel your NexGenSpec subscription there. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data and cannot be undone.

Which devices support LiDAR scanning?

LiDAR scanning requires an iPhone Pro or iPad Pro with a LiDAR sensor (iPhone 12 Pro and later, iPad Pro 2020 and later).

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase your subscription. Your Pro access will be restored automatically. If not, use the "Restore Purchases" option on the upgrade screen.

Is my data backed up?

Inspection data is stored locally on your device and included in your standard iCloud/iTunes backups. We do not upload your inspection data to external servers.
